Welcome to Outlier Solutions Group Academy!

Nov 19 / Adam Meyer
Welcome to the Outlier Solutions Group Academy, we’re glad you’re here!

We’re a small but mighty practice, based out of Atlanta, GA, and we’re here to bring you the best of what works, and nothing else. Our team is a well rounded one, and the one thing we’ve all got in common is that we’re close friends with the statistically improbable.

We spend most of our time figuring out how to get the biggest results out of the smallest details, and finding ways to close the gaps and seams that arise when the clinical  best practice collides with human factors at high velocity.

But we digress...
Originally, our first course wasn’t going to launch until early 2025. However, our team has had an enormous number of questions coming up around the fundamentals of firearms safety and operation. We know a thing or two about it, so we figured we’d put this one together as a freebie, in service to our communities and as a way “cold open” the schoolhouse here.

The team on this one has been shooting, training, competing, and teaching others to shoot for over 80 years between the three of them, and we hope you find our content informative, accessible, and useful.

The first version of Firearms Fundamentals that you’re seeing here today was put together in about 10 days, from inception to publication. There’s a lot of rough edges that we’ll be cleaning up later, but based on the feedback our team was getting, it was more important to get the information out there in a timely manner, than it was to make sure everything was spit and polish.

What's next for 2025?

We’ll be launching additional modules, both paid and free, in the coming months, and we hope you stick with us.  We'll be going back to our core competency, where the clinical meets reality at high velocity, and that's where we'll stay for the majority of next year.

Highlights for 2025 will be the launch of our online Convention Rescue and Community Responder Level I Didactics, and our Level II Lay Rescuer Austere Medicine Intensive Didactic, just to name a few.
We’re also going to be rolling out more modules aimed at “quick hits” and microlearnings to help you keep your brain warm and your skills sharp.

We're also continuing to roll out our in-person courses.  You can check out our latest open seat courses on our enrollment page here.  Right now we've got one more Community Responder Level 1 available for December 2024.

And for the latest, keep an eye on both our main page at osgatl.com, and make sure you subscribe and keep up with our course release updates here on the Academy side of the house.

We’d love to hear from you, so if there’s training your looking for, feedback for us on one of the courses that we host, or questions that you need answered, don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re not a big corporate shop, we’re working professionals, just like you, and we know that knowledge weighs nothing in your pack.

Stay safe, and if you can’t be safe, be dangerous.
